Brandon Sterling never believed in fate. A man of his own making, he firmly credits his successes to hard work. How else could you explain his rise from the poorest of backgrounds in South Boston to becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the city? Now he’s living in the lap of luxury, and it’s never mattered to him that increasing success meant increased isolation in his big house on Beacon Street. After all, when you have everything, everyone else always wants something. Then he walks in to find a feisty redhead sitting on his windowsill. Suddenly, the idea of love at first sight seems like the most plausible thing in the world…if only the one person he wants to give his heart to would actually take it.
Together, Skylar and Brandon have the kind of passion few hope to find, but things keep getting in their way. Between school, business, her father’s gambling troubles and Brandon’s history of personal struggle, will their complicated lives prevent them from making it work together? Or, as they both suspect somewhere deep down, have they finally met their match in each other’s hearts?
I have no idea where to start! That my friends is not a bad thing. I was blown away from this book and my emotions are an achy mess. Legally Yours made me speechless. I love Nicole French’s writing. When I started in the first few chapters, I was like okay this is something different. Then our heroine stumbles upon a very secy top notch lawyer, Mr. Brandon Sterling. There were just a few similarities ( Billionaire Romance ). The story line just captures you.
Skylar is our New Yorker fiery red hair lady. She has a hot attitude but is the most caring person out there. Really you will never question her intentions until it comes to herself. I was yelling and screaming and practically throwing my Kindle against the bed (not the wall or it will break). She had me so frustrated at the end. This book reminded me what a love and hate relationship was like. I begged for Skyler to follow her heart. To let go. I feel like she made things worst at the end.
Enough of my rant because seriously I loved this book. Nothing has riled me up this way in the last few years. We read our love stories and at the end we get our HEA. But sometimes that is just for dreaming. Life can be rough and it is not all rainbows. Brandon Sterling has a heart of GOLD. He tries so hard to be the man Skyler needs. I do not see that man with any faults. Maybe he tries to hard. GAH! I was crawling out of my skin with this book. My emotions have not been tugged and pulled in all directions in a long time. I really have no idea what to expect in book 2. All I know is I have to read it to be able to function. Yes I mean it! This book took over “Life” and I am lost in Skyler’s and Brandon’s world. The story ends with a shocker and I need know everything will be okay.
