Who has been following The Resistance band since Mr. Johnny Outlaw? Don’t worry if you have not because you can still read The Rebellion as a stand alone. I truly love these guys and I promise you will love this series. We now have Derrick’s story!!! I am so excited that we get to see what makes the sexy as sin man tick! Who is his muse? Yes Derrick has the talent and is a big part of The Resistance as their guitarist. He has had many one night stands. Endless faces and names. Except now they all seem to meld together. He no longer cares to know what city they are in or next. Until Johnny has a talk with Derrick, he finally wants more. He needs a place to call his home. There is only one person that always felt like he was coming home, Jaymes.
My heart flopped twenty times over for Jaymes. She had the talent to be out there, but her heart is at home with her little man Ace. So she stays in the wrong neighborhood, gets bullied by a monster, but through it all she shows her strength. To read her story and see what a good person she is. To sacrifice herself to protect her little boy and the ones she loves. I was just wowed. I cried for her pain she endured, but applaud her ability to still try for better. Now can she move on or will she be entranced within the depths of Derricks love?
The Rebellion will give you a lot of sexy time that is HOT! We are talking about Derrick Masters here after all. The book has a little bit of dark, despair, and sometimes hopelessness. There was a couple of times that I was afraid to continue on, but I am glad I did. This book was so much more than I anticipated. Derrick shows a side that we had yet to discover. The Rebellion was written with so much emotion, you will get lost in it all. I will always be a HUGE fan of The Resistance. I love this tight knit family and the author! Now I need to finish swooning over Mr. Masters! Happy Reading friends.
