“Lyrical, heartbreaking, and emotionally intense, A THOUSAND LETTERS is a beautiful portrait of an undying love that deserves a second chance.”
— Melanie Harlow, USA Today Bestselling Author
Sometimes your life is split by a single decision.
I’ve spent every day of the last seven years regretting mine: he left, and I didn’t follow. A thousand letters went unanswered, my words like petals in the wind, spinning away into nothing, taking me with them.
But now he’s back.
I barely recognize the man he’s become, but I can still see a glimmer of the boy who asked me to be his forever, the boy I walked away from when I was young and afraid.
Maybe if he’d come home under better circumstances, he could speak to me without anger in his voice. Maybe if I’d said yes all those years ago, he’d look at me without the weight of rejection in his eyes. Maybe if things were different, we would have had a chance.
One regretted decision sent him away. One painful journey bought him back to me. I only wish I could keep him.

Firstly, I need to get this off my chest…Wade is a first class A*Hole!! Alright, I’m better now *smiles*. A Thousand letters touched me all the way through my soul! Staci Hart wins you over with emotional blackmail! I mean that in the most lovable way too. So please get this book fellow readers. You literally cry through the majority of this story. The poems and the short passages through out the story bleeds directly to your mind and heart. I always have been a big sucker for poems. I use to write a few here and there when I was younger and win awards. Then I became a blogger and read hundreds of books. So Staci brought it all back home for me. This really grabbed me by the throat!
Now moving to the book. A thousand letters…I really wanted to know why this title was chosen. Even a quarter in the book, I still had no idea. And then it hits you in between your eyes. You get it and it makes you fall for Elliot and Wade a lot more. So you saw that I started the review screaming at Wade. That was built up emotion, but I really adore the guy. Elliot, my heart cried for her. I wanted to jump in the book and set her free myself.
This story holds you captive from page one. Sorrow, regret, pain, and life get in the way. But it reminded me that even when there is all the bad, we have to remember to celebrate the good. You read the blurb so you have an idea what the story is about. I felt for my review I wanted to give you the emotional side it gave me. The story line was amazing, the characters were fully developed, and you truly feel like you were right there in the book. I felt like I was with family. A 5 star rating does not do this book justice, if I could I would give it 1000!
About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
